Public Cloud has become an essential part of modern-day network architecture to share resources while maintaining the privacy of the users’ data

 

A public cloud, as defined, is a virtual pool of resources designed and automatically allocated among a series of multiple customers via a self-service portal. In short, it's online data centers and reduces IT costs. In simple terms, a public cloud is a cloud platform where a company manages its computing resources using the Internet as a service (IaaS). Many enterprise companies see the public cloud as an easy way to rapidly scale up on-demand IT resources on-demand, without necessarily committing to investing in additional infrastructure dedicated to that purpose. However, cloud services offer so much more than this.

Another alternative to public clouds is to use a hybrid model between public and private clouds. A hybrid model combines elements of both private and public clouds to provide business applications. However, the primary focus of this type of cloud-based service is to provide access to the underlying infrastructure services. Public cloud services typically provide three basic elements. They include the execution environment, the infrastructure, and the software. Public cloud services may be delivered as a service via the internet, they may be delivered as-is, or they may be provided as a hosted solution using a software-as-a-service model.

Infrastructure-as-a-service is a web-based application platform that allows organizations to build their own virtualization technologies. This technology also enables organizations to deploy applications faster and to make them cheaper and more efficient. A number of organizations today use IaaS to replace their older software architectures and to leverage the security, scalability, and stability provided by the elastic infrastructure provided by the IaaS cloud-based services. Software as a Service is an application development model that provides users with a hosted platform to host their own applications, which are later then accessed by end users via the Internet or a remote server. Recently, in December 2020, Salesforce launched public cloud-based Hyperforce in India.
